The GW golf team ended its season at the Penn State Invitational 13th out of 15 teams with a total score of 915 (307-304-304) in State College, Pa. Ryan Day was GW’s top golfer, closing out the two-day tournament 20th among 79 golfers with a six-over-par 222 (73-73-76).
Penn State University won the tournament with a combined score of 863, 19 strokes ahead of second-place finisher James Madison University (882).
Penn State’s Andy Latowski won the tournament with a score of 212, two strokes ahead of Princeton University’s Cassidy Traub.
GW’s Thomas Blankvoort tied for 25th place after shooting an eight-over-par 224 (77-77-70). Bryan Derdenger tied for 52nd after shooting a 232 (79-74-79).
