Five former White House press secretaries will give an inside look at the challenges of being the president’s spokesperson at an event next month hosted by the School of Media and Public Affairs.
Three former press secretaries for President Bill Clinton – Joe Lockhart, Mike McCurry and Dee Dee Myers – and two former press secretaries for former President George W. Bush – Dana Perino and Ari Fleischer – will join SMPA Director Frank Sesno for an installment of the SMPA Conversation Series.
Sesno will interview the five press secretaries about how they managed the press from behind the White House Briefing Room podium, as well as delve into the history and role of the White House press secretary.
The event will be held in the Jack Morton Auditorium Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
Tickets to the event are free and can be reserved here.
