Luke Russert, son of the late NBC News correspondent Tim Russert, will moderate a discussion about the role young voters will play in President-elect Barack Obama’s presidency Jan. 27 in the Jack Morton Auditorium.
Russert, who is a youth correspondent for NBC News, will be joined by a panel of political experts and youth organizers for the event titled, “The State of the Youth Vote: Engagement Beyond the Election.”
The event begins at 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Space is limited, however, and event organizers encourage students to RSVP to [email protected] to reserve a spot.
The event is sponsored by the Graduate School of Political Management and 18 in ’08, a non-profit organization which aims to mobilize young people in politics and public policy.
