A wine bar opened on the edge of campus by Washington Circle on Tuesday.
Sixty Vines, a chain restaurant with nine other locations in the U.S. and an eco-friendly wine on-tap program, opened at 2200 Pennsylvania Avenue near The Avenue apartment complex on June 11. The menu has 60 types of wine and dishes like charcuterie boards, pizzas, pastas and small plates.
Sixty Vines is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday. Weekend brunch service is slated from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, and dinner runs until 11 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The space, which is more than 11,000 square feet, features indoor and patio seating, a full bar and a private events space, according to D.C. Eater. Sixty Vines also caters.
Sixty Vines did not return a request for comment.
