Hundreds of pro-Palestinian students, professors and staff members from universities across the D.C., Maryland and Virginia have joined an encampment in University Yard Thursday.

Participants said they will remain in U-Yard until their demands that GW divest from companies with ties to Israel, drop alleged charges against pro-Palestinan student organizers and disclose all endowments and investments are met. The demonstration joins a series of encampments across the nation demanding that universities cut their financial ties with Israel and weapons manufacturers.
