Crime log: Student assaulted by ex-boyfriend in District House

Simple Assault/Dating Violence, Kidnapping

A male student reported that he was the victim of simple assault by a non-GW affiliated ex-boyfriend. The subject pushed the victim in the District House lounge and forced the student to remain in the room. The student reported the incident to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Liquor Law Violation

While responding to a smoke detector activation, GW Police Department officers observed alcohol in common areas of the room. Officers inquired about the age of the occupants, who explained they were underage. GWPD officers identified and evaluated eight students in violation of COVID-19 gathering protocol and released them to their residence hall rooms.

GWPD officers responded to a report of an unknown male subject asleep in a female student’s residence hall room. Upon arrival, officers identified the subject as a GW student. The male student was intoxicated and walked into the wrong room in District House. EMeRG arrived on scene and cleared the student of any further medical treatment.

Theft II/Other, Threats to do Bodily Harm

A non-GW affiliated male complainant reported to MPD that another non-GW affiliated male subject borrowed his cellphone and then refused to return it. The subject threatened to shoot the victim in the face. MPD officers arrived on scene, identified the suspect and arrested him.

Voyeurism, Blackmail

A male student reported being the victim of voyeurism and blackmail through Facebook. The student interacted with an unknown but believed-to-be female subject and exchanged sexually charged images. The male student reported the subject blackmailed him with a sexual image that he took with his face in frame.

Theft II/from Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle, Destruction of Property/Vandalism

Closed Case

A non-GW affiliated complainant reported the rear passenger window of his vehicle broken. The victim reported that his laptop, luggage and clothes were stolen. The victim was advised to file an online report with MPD. A female student residing off campus witnessed the break-in.

Unlawful Entry

4/6/2021 – 12:28 a.m.
Closed Case

GWPD officers responded to a report of an unknown male subject sleeping on the ground and blocking a paystation at the garage. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the subject and identified that he was previously barred. GWPD officers escorted the subject off campus.
