Spectators surrounding the U.S. Capitol Wednesday discussed the significance of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ inauguration. The Capitol was largely blocked off by fences and the National Guard to minimize crowds during the COVID-19 pandemic and prevent potential unrest after supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the building earlier this month.
