Men’s basketball will not play its scheduled matchup with Massachusetts after Mayor Muriel Bowser set a 6 p.m. curfew to break up protests contesting the presidential election results, according to a release Wednesday.
The curfew comes as pro-Trump protestors stormed the U.S. Capitol building Wednesday afternoon. The Colonials (3-7, 2-1 A-10) were slated to take on the Minutemen (2-3, 1-1 A-10) at 6 p.m. Wednesday to close out the team’s three-game homestand.
The Atlantic 10 will seek to reschedule the contest to a later date, according to the release.
