A non-GW affiliated male complainant reported leaving his cell phone unattended to charge in the store. The phone was no longer there upon his return. GW Police Department officers are investigating video surveillance evidence.

Liquor Law Violation
South Hall

Closed Case
GWPD officers responded to a report of observed University-prohibited weapons in a South Hall room. Upon arrival, GWPD officers made contact with the male student who claimed ownership of air toy guns and several alcoholic beverages. The area coordinator responded to the scene and conducted an administrative search. Evidence was taken to the Academic Center for processing, and alcohol was disposed from the scene.

Threats to do Bodily Harm
Public Property On Campus (2200 block of I Street)

GWPD officers received a report from the Metropolitan Police Department that a non-GW affiliated male complainant and two male students had filed a report of threats of bodily harm. A male subject threatened the men after they walked by his water bottle in the middle of the street. The complainant reported the crime when the three men saw the subject a second time later that day. GWPD and MPD officers canvassed the area with negative findings.

Simple Assault, Destruction of Property

GWPD officers responded to a report from a male pedestrian about an assault in progress. Officers arrived at the scene and observed a male subject being restrained by a female victim, a male victim and a male witness. The victims reported sustaining injuries to the shoulder while holding down the subject after he had thrown a rock damaging their vehicle. MPD officers responded to the scene, arrested the man and transported him to the Second District police station. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene to treat the victims.
