The University is under federal investigation for alleged Title IX violations.
The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights launched a probe into GW’s conduct Feb. 20 related to the federal law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in all educational programs or activities that receive federal funding. The complaint, listed under the category “Title IX + Others,” was made public on the education department’s website Friday, but further details are not currently available.
GW last came under federal investigation for sex-based discrimination in 2017 for allegedly mishandling a student’s sexual violence case. The education department concluded its investigation into the complaint in 2018, but the findings were not readily available and a University spokeswoman did not return a request for comment.
