Students slated to study abroad this fall can now apply for on-campus housing “as a back-up” in case their programs are put on hold, according to an email housing officials sent to students Monday.
Students whose fall programs are not canceled can pull out of fall semester housing and re-apply in November for spring semester housing, the email states. All students who apply for fall housing are guaranteed assignments, even if some students are placed on a waitlist, according to the email.
On-campus housing is still required for first, second and third-year students – unless a student has met at least one of six exemption criteria.
Officials have currently suspended all GW-affiliated travel through July 1, including spring study abroad programs.
