A power outage hit Foggy Bottom Campus buildings Sunday afternoon, according to a GW Advisory sent at about 12:50 p.m.
The advisory stated that facilities workers were on scene restoring power, a process estimated to take about an hour to an hour and a half. Power was restored to impacted buildings about two hours later, according to a second alert sent at about 2:50 p.m.
University spokeswoman Crystal Nosal said the outage did not affect any residential buildings on campus but did affect parts of the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. She did not know what caused the power outages.
“The only GW buildings affected were the Science and Engineering Hall and Ross Hall,” Nosal said.
