Women’s basketball tapped its first recruit for the Class of 2025.
Taylor Golembiewski, a 5-foot-7-inch guard from Storrs, Conn., committed to the team for the Class of 2025 Wednesday. Golembiewski’s AAU basketball association Connecticut ATTACK announced her commitment on Twitter.
“You came to the ATTACK in 6th grade with a goal and you never stopped,” the tweet read. “You trusted yourself, the process and the journey.”

During the 2018-2019 season, Golembiewski averaged 12.9 points per game. She notched 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a sophomore at Edwin O. Smith High School, according to MaxPreps. Golembiewski’s efforts helped her team cruise to a 22-4 record on the season and achieve a spotless 14–0 home record.
The Colonials added two freshmen to their roster this season. The squad is looking to ride the ship after tabbing a 10–20 record last year.
