The Atlantic 10 unveiled the women’s basketball schedule pairing for the 2019-20 season, according to a press release last week.
Each team is slated to play every conference team once and three squads twice throughout the 16-game regular season. The Smith Center will host eight games and GW will play the other half of the season on the road.
The Colonials will face George Mason, Dayton and Duquesne twice in home and away matches. After losing two games to the Patriots last season, GW will look to defeat George Mason for the first time since 2017.
The Colonials have had mixed results against Dayton and Duquesne in recent years, holding a combined 3-5 record in games against the teams over GW’s past two seasons. Dayton was one of four teams in the conference to qualify for postseason play last season, competing in the National Invitational Tournament.
GW will also face Davidson, Saint Joseph’s, VCU, Fordham and St. Bonaventure on the road. Fordham is the defending conference champion and earned a bid to the 2018-19 NCAA Tournament.
A comprehensive schedule with dates, times and broadcasting information will be released at a later date, according to the release.
