Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested a man for punching a woman in the ear on Wednesday, according to an MPD report.

A witness told MPD officers that at about 11:45 a.m. Monday, Arron Herndon punched a woman entering Devon & Blakely in her ear “for no apparent reason.” The witness said he then saw Herndon leave Devon & Blakely and wave through the window, according to the report.

Herndon was spotted a second time on Wednesday, and MPD officers confirmed Herndon’s identity with the previously assaulted woman, who was located in front of Burger Tap and Shake, the report states.

MPD officers placed Herndon under arrest for simple assault and transported him to the Second District police station for processing, the report states.
