Ace Stallings, a 6-foot-10-inch forward from Miami, Fla., will transfer into the men’s basketball program next season, according to a tweet last week.
Stallings spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Mount Saint Mary’s University, where he averaged 0.8 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. He played in a total of 16 games for the school.
As a rising junior, Stallings joins the squad as a Class of 2021 recruit. He is the first forward added to the Colonials’ roster this offseason and the fifth recruit under head coach Jamion Christian, who took the helm earlier this semester.
Stallings is required to sit out next year and will join the team on the court for the 2020-21 season, according to NCAA transfer rules.
Stallings adds to a roster that includes 10 returning players from last season. Sophomore guard Terry Nolan Jr., freshman guard Shandon Brown and freshman forward Marcus Littles announced their intentions to transfer out of the program after former head coach Maurice Joseph was fired in March.
