GW will begin its day of classes and activities later than scheduled Monday morning, according to a campus advisory issued at 11:03 p.m.
All classes, events and activities scheduled before 9:30 a.m. on Monday are canceled, and administrative offices will open at 9:30 a.m., according to the advisory. The change marks the fourth time since the start of the semester that University schedules have been altered because of weather conditions.
“We encourage faculty to use technology to allow classes to be held online during situations when it is not possible to hold class on-campus and/or provide work for students to complete,” the advisory states. “Students, we ask that you check your email for class updates from your faculty and faculty are encouraged to work with students to adjust as necessary.”
The first day of the semester was pushed back a day after snow covered D.C. on Jan. 14. Afternoon classes were canceled on Jan. 29 ahead of expected snowfall and students had a late start Jan. 30 after snow and rain hit the D.C. region the night before.
