Fifteen police vehicles surrounded 2146 F St. NW Sunday evening as officers searched the home of a suspect thought to be connected to a robbery that took place earlier in the day.

Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Brianna Jordan said officers responded to the home with a search warrant to look for a suspect in a purse snatching that occurred on 22nd and H streets at about 11 a.m. Jordan said no arrests have been made yet.

GW Police Department officers were also on scene.

The suspects in the purse snatching were apprehended Sunday evening, according to a GW Alert sent at about 5:53 p.m. University spokeswoman Maralee Csellar declined to confirm whether the suspects were apprehended on F Street, deferring to MPD because the incident occurred off campus.

Sarah Roach contributed reporting.
