A student’s wallet was stolen at the GW Hospital Thursday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report.
At about 1:12 p.m., a man was sitting in the main lobby of the hospital. When he stood up to walk a few feet away, his wallet fell out of his pocket onto a chair, the report states.
An unknown person saw the wallet and asked a woman sitting nearby if the wallet was hers. The woman said yes, took the wallet and its contents and left the lobby on foot, according to the report.
The wallet – a money clip holding together cards and cash – contained at least $40, a Florida driver’s license, a GWorld card and a Discover credit card, the report states.
