Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested a fugitive from justice Friday at GW Hospital, according to a police report.

Billy Bowles, who had an outstanding warrant issued against him in West Virginia for a parole violation, was found inside the hospital just after 2 p.m. Friday, the police report states.

MPD officers took Bowles, 36, into custody and transported him to the Second District police station for processing, according to the report.

Bowles has been appointed an attorney and has a status hearing July 26, according to court documents.
