A man assaulted another man on 23rd Street near the H Street intersection Wednesday morning, police said.
Following the assault, which occurred around 11:15 a.m., police blocked a portion of the sidewalk outside of the former GW Hillel building while forensic officers took photos of the scene, Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Aquita Brown said.
An MPD officer on the scene said a man sustained a bloody nose after being punched by a homeless man, but he was otherwise uninjured.
Police officials said they did not have yet have information about a possible arrest.
