Three incidents of attempted vehicle theft and vandalism in the Lerner Health and Wellness Center parking garage were reported to the University Police Department on the same day last week.

Two of the reports involved GW community members informing UPD that a vehicle in the garage had a broken window. In the third report, a staff member alerted UPD officers that someone attempted to break into their vehicle after the driver’s side door was damaged, University spokeswoman Maralee Csellar said.

All three reports were made on July 18, according to the crime log.

Csellar declined to say whether the incidents were related, adding that the cases are still under investigation.

“At this time we are not able to provide any additional information about the investigation,” she said.

The incidents are listed as closed with no suspects or witnesses, according to the crime log.
