A new bike sharing station was installed in front of Duques Hall on 22nd Street, the company announced Thursday.
The Foggy Bottom and West End Advisory Neighborhood Commission approved adding the station, which has slots for 16 bikes, last month. The committee decided to postpone a decision about installing stations near the West End Library and the restaurant Ris DC due to a lack of space and potential safety hazards.
Capital Bikeshare said in a Twitter post that the station at 22nd and H streets will be the 255th station in the city.
Capital Bikeshare is a city government-owned service that allows customers to rent bikes to travel around the city and drop them off at other stations, rather than returning the original renting station.
