Rapper Kendrick Lamar will open pop-up shops offering his tour merchandise across the country over the next three months, including one in a Georgetown boutique.
The pop-up shop will open on July 21 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., just before Lamar’s show at the Verizon Center, according to the shop’s website. During the pop-up, fans can pick up DAMN. tour merchandise at UBIQ, a boutique on M Street that primarily sells sneakers and athletic clothing.
After tweeting a link to the pop-up shop website last week without explanation, fans were brought to a countdown page for his new project. Lamar announced the pop-up shops Monday on his Instagram account and the shop’s website.
The pop-ups will open in 17 major cities across the U.S. including Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Chicago and the District, each on the same day that Lamar is set to perform in that city. An interactive map on Lamar’s website shows the dates and locations of the other shops across the country.
DAMN. tour merchandise for sale includes caps ($30), t-shirts ($35-40) and sweatshirts ($65), all featuring the tour logo, in red, black and white.
His latest album “DAMN.” was released in April and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, where it remained for three weeks. Singles from his album include “HUMBLE.” and “LOYALTY.” featuring Rihanna.
