Head from an off-beat play to a performance from a classic rock legend, then finish off the weekend at a luxurious rooftop pool party.
Friday
Life, Death & Everything In-Between
Out of the box art will be performed all around the city when the Capital Fringe Festival starts this weekend. As a part of the festival, Portsmouth Theater Lab will present a show about four characters trying to make sense of life. The dance and physical theatre 70-minute piece fits in with the festival’s edgy celebration of independent artists. For the rest of the festival, catch performances by local improv groups, rock performers and dancers from across the city.
Gallaudet University, 800 Florida Ave. NW. 8:15 p.m. $17.
Saturday
