Take advantage of the warmer weather in the District and get your sweat on with free yoga classes every Tuesday for the next two months, starting this week.
The free classes are part of CityCenterDC’s Toned Up Tuesday and will be held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. through the end of May, according to CityCenterDC’s website. The classes are held outside at The Park inside CityCenter on the corner of Tenth and I streets.
CorePower Yoga, a boutique fitness studio with more than 165 locations nationwide, hosts the classes.
The classes are open to all ages and you can leave your wallet at home. The only thing you’ll need is your own yoga mat and water bottle, Washingtonian reported Monday.
Last year’s Toned Up Tuesdays featured a variety of workouts like bootcamp, VIDA M.I.T., which is a mix of cardio, strength, balance and flexibility, and Zumba, K Street Magazine reported last year. Yoga is the only activity lined up for Toned Up Tuesdays this year.
Yogis can RSVP for the class on CityCenterDC’s website. Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
