The 6-foot-2-inch guard played just one season for the Colonials after transferring from Seton Hall in 2015.
Sina averaged 9.0 points and a team-high 3.3 assists per game while shooting 36.4 percent from three-point range and starting in 34 of GW’s 35 games this season.
The Lake Hopatcong, N.J. native is not new to overseas basketball. Last year he was named to the first-ever Kosovo National Basketball team and played with them in the EuroBasket 2017 qualifiers.
Sina becomes the second athlete to announce his departure from the program after freshman forward Kevin Marfo reportedly requested a release Thursday.
