Men’s basketball defeated Dayton, a top squad in the Atlantic 10, 87-81 last night at the Smith Center in GW’s final home match of the season.

On their senior night, graduate student Tyler Cavanaugh and redshirt senior Matt Hart put on a show. The duo combined for 40 points on 60 percent shooting, including an 8-for-11 clip from behind the arc.

The victory cemented GW’s position as the number six seed in the A-10 tournament that begins on Wednesday. The Colonials first postseason outing will be against the winner of the Duquesne vs. Saint Louis game.
