2020 O St.
It’s spring, which means that the hoards of tourists, open-air buses and selfie sticks are already upon us.
Thankfully, there are some attractions in Northwest D.C. that are yet undiscovered, like the Mansion on O Street.
The mansion is like an old, eccentric house from a storybook – complete with secret passages, hidden doors and weird decor. All 100 of its rooms are uniquely decorated to fit a theme. Guests can stay in suites that resemble James Bond’s bedroom, a log cabin or a Versailles apartment.
And where else can you walk enter a secret passageway through a mirror?
To make it better, the mansion is huge – it was made by combining several rowhouses into one big house where politicians and elites sneak away.
Both a hotel and an event space, the mansion is open to tours for $15, and you can embark on treasure hunt tour on the property for $25.
Make sure to bring cash, though – everything in the mansion is for sale. You like that Beatles jukebox? Buy it. Want to take the guitar signed by Bob Dylan? You better be able to pay up.
