Thirteen students are spending their semester rubbing elbows and going on coffee runs – in the White House.
Out of the 161 students interning in the executive branch this spring, GW had the largest group. American University came in second with 10 students and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor had eight student interns.
Georgetown University and the University of Maryland, College Park each sent six students.
GW’s 13 interns is one of the largest amounts from the University in recent years. In 2014, just five GW students interned during the spring semester, and competition for the internships grows during the summer months.
Applications for the program’s fall 2016 internships are now open.
