GW’s master’s of business administration program rose 13 spots in Bloomberg’s annual business school rankings.
GW’s full-time MBA program was ranked No. 40, up from No. 53 in 2014. Nine of GW’s peer institutions, including Duke, New York and Georgetown universities, all hosted programs that were ranked higher than the School of Business’ MBA.
While employers ranked GWU’s MBA programs at No. 26 on the list of 74 institutions, the program was ranked at 46th or lower in all other categories, including job placement and student survey.
Bloomberg determined the rankings by using a combination of employer, student and alumni feedback, along with job placement and starting salary data.
Northwestern University, one of GW’s peers, landed the No. 3 spot for its full-time MBA program. The University of Miami as well as American, Boston, Tufts and Tulane universities were the only of GW’s peers to place below GW for their full-time MBA rankings. Harvard University snagged the No. 1 spot.
GW’s part-time MBA program fell at No. 61. This is the first time GWU’s part-time MBA has been ranked. Northwestern University, whose part-time degree was also ranked for the first time this year, ranked No. 1 on that list of 74 colleges and universities.
