Metro Transit Police arrested the suspect of a string of iPhone robberies on Wednesday.
A 14-year-old juvenile suspect was arrested after Metro police used video evidence to “identify and charge the suspect,” according to a Metro press release. In June, Metro police released an advisory warning riders of an increase in iPhone thefts on the blue, orange and silver lines.
The suspect allegedly committed six robberies, which all involved iPhone 6 devices, according to the release. Each of those robberies allegedly occurred on the blue, orange and silver lines. According to the release, the suspect will be charged in D.C.
