Helium balloons, marching bands, colorful floats, and other performers filled the ten blocks along Constitution Avenue for the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. The parade is part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival: “the nation’s greatest spring time festival.” The parade served as a spectacle to celebrate spring, D.C., and the cherry blossoms in peak bloom.
