You said you would study as soon as you woke up. You said you would bang out that final paper after a trip to Whole Foods. You swore you would crack open a textbook after a run, but then you had to shower. You took a nap, you caught up on “The Daily Show,” you called your grandparents, you started packing — and now it’s dark outside and you’re just sitting down in Gelman Library.
Here are five ways to keep the procrastination going just a little longer:
1. By now, we’ve all seen (and gotten over) “Flappy Bird.” We’ve also all beaten or frustratingly given up on “2048.” For a fresh procrastination tool, take a look at “Flappy2048,” which combines the addictive nature of both games into one time-consuming activity.
2. Peruse your favorite television show’s website for games and interactive activities. AMC offers “Mad Men” quizzes and even a “Mad Men” yourself avatar builder.
3. Type all your stresses into the struggle bus and watch as it falls apart and explodes. Ignore the fact that this will be happening to your grades if you don’t start studying and jam to the fun jingle as your struggles pile up.
4. Go old school with your addictive gaming: “PacMan” and “Frogger” offer the right combination of stimulation and nostalgia to keep study guides at bay.
5. Just scroll through this blog for a while.
