Gelman Library is one of five campus buildings without water Friday due to a scheduled water test, a University spokesman said.
Water will be shut off in Gelman Library and Staughton Hall, as well as the Munson, JBKO, Madison residence halls, from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday as D.C. Water tests the the strength of its valves on 22nd Street, University spokesman Kurtis Hiatt said.
Gelman Library remains open, but has closed its restrooms. The library’s Starbucks will be closed during the work, because health code requires the availability of hot water.
Students in the two residence halls received an email earlier in the week telling them that their bathrooms, sinks and washing machines would not work during the outage.
