How would you feel about living in Tricentennial Hall?
After asking for submissions last month, GW has narrowed down the names for the newest residence hall: Tricentennial Hall, District House, University Commons and Unity Hall.
Tricentennial Hall represents the difference of 300 between GW’s founding in 1821 and the dorm’s address at 2121 H St. Unity House could show GW’s pride in “overcoming and breaking barriers.” Or, maybe you’ll pick University Commons to show how the residence hall – which will have 64,000 square feet for student space, food venues and retail shops on I Street – provides common space for everyone at GW.
“History doesn’t just happen here, it’s created here. At GW, we live among the monuments – both human and stone – that will color history books for decades to come,” says the description for District House.
The $130 million dorm will house sophomores and juniors and more affinity housing when it opens in 2016.
Enter your email address and cast your vote for the dorm name before March 24.
