Rejoice, fans of macaroni and cheese: CapMac will be back in business next week.
The popular food truck will return about three months after it closed and changed ownership.
New owner Josh Warner said he is still mulling an exact opening date and location after he passed all the necessary inspections.
“We’re considering doing the grand reopening in or around GW,” Warner said, adding that because he did not enter February’s food truck lottery, which divvies up the city’s most popular parking spots, he may have to park somewhere near campus instead of on H Street.
Warner said students can expect their favorite dishes when the truck reopens, including chicken parm meatballs. He is looking to add side dishes, tea and lemonade to the menu in a few weeks.
He also said he’s looking to bring on a full-time employee because the part-time employees he has hired for catering events have “been kinda spotty.”
“That’s what has been such a struggle for me,” Warner said. “It’s definitely hard to find good people, especially in this industry.”
Warner said students should watch out for updates on CapMac’s Twitter account and Facebook page for an announcement of the opening date.
We are about a week out for reopening! Date and location soon to follow.
