After a month-long hiatus, CapMac will soon return to D.C. streets to serve up cartons of gooey, cheesy macaroni creations.
Josh Warner, the new owner of CapMac, wrote on the company’s Facebook page Thursday that he “jumped at the opportunity” to buy the company, adding that he is excited to bring the truck back to the District.
“I want you to know that I loved the original CapMac formula and don’t have any immediate plans to change things. I know I have big shoes to fill and I’m so excited and grateful for this opportunity,” Warner wrote.
Warner did not immediately respond to a request for comment about when the truck will be back in action. In November, former owner Brian Arnoff told The Hatchet that he had looked into storefront locations.
“I’m sure you’ll see mac and cheese from us in the future. I don’t know if it’ll be a full-blown mac and cheese restaurant or just on a menu somewhere,” Arnoff said.
