Officers are searching for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven below Mitchell Hall on Sunday, attacking the clerk and stealing cartons of cigarettes.
The store clerk reported that he was shoved Sunday afternoon by a black male who then stole about 15 packs of cigarettes, University Police Chief Kevin Hay said.
The suspect, who was about 40 years old, was unarmed. He had short black hair and a missing index finger, and Hay added that the man wore a gray hooded sweatshirt.
