This Halloween, skip the cheesy haunted houses and visit some real ghosts.

Washington Walks is holding a special The Most Haunted Houses tour on Halloween night, Oct. 31, which includes a rare, inside look at the Octagon House. It is believed that the house is filled with the spirits of the inhabitants and the slaves that once lived there, earning the title “The Most Haunted Home in Washington, D.C.” Or, at least, you can believe for one night.

The two-hour tour meets at Farragut Park at 7:30 p.m., and $20 tickets available online for this once a year event.

Be be warned, this tour might make you think twice about walking through Lafayette Park at night.
