A student was hospitalized after he was attacked and robbed near 17th and M streets last weekend.
The student told police he was punched repeatedly by multiple suspects after leaving a club around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, University Police Department Chief Kevin Hay said. He was sent to GW Hospital with bruises, abrasions and a damaged tooth.
The suspects took his iPhone and fled the scene.
The Metropolitan Police Department is handling the case.
