Students can now use their GWorld cards to pay at two more District restaurants.
George’s King of Falafel and Cheesesteak and Taylor Gourmet joined more than 90 venues this fall that accept Colonial Cash for payment.
Taylor Gourmet, an Italian-style deli whose owners hail from Philadelphia, has two venues near campus: one on 19th street and the other on Pennsylvania Ave.
Alex Barrow, the deli’s director of personnel, said he started working with the University in March to become a GWorld partner and hopes the move will help attract more students.
“We feel we have a good value proposition for GW students and would like to increase sale opportunities,” Barrow, also a GW alumnus, said. “We like the convenience that GWorld offers students.”
The restaurant, which specializes in hoagies, can deliver to campus, Barrow said.
George’s King of Falafel and Cheesesteak, also began accepting Colonial Cash this fall. The owners did not return requests for comment.
