The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an alleged assault with a club near the Farragut West Metro station.

A 30-year-old woman allegedly hit another woman on the head with a club after an argument Wednesday at 8 p.m., according to MPD documents.

The victim, 26, suffered a bump to the left side of her head and a black mark around her left eye.

The suspect was last seen driving away in a truck. The two women were “close friends” and had been drinking, according to the documents.
