Jon Favreau, who served as Barack Obama’s chief speechwriter from the campaign trail to the White House, will address students Sept. 25 in the Marvin Center.

Favreau joined the Obama campaign in 2007, just four years after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross, and stayed on at the White House as director of speechwriting through early 2013. He previously served as deputy director of speechwriting during then-Sen John Kerry’s failed presidential bid.

Since leaving the White House, Favreau co-founded Fenway Strategies, a strategic communications firm, and is a columnist for The Daily Beast.

Favreau will speak at the open event at 7 p.m. in Betts Theater. Admission is free and seating is first come, first served.
