One Million Bones from The GW Hatchet on Vimeo.
Thousands of volunteers gathered in front of the Capitol Building to transform the National Mall into a “mass graveyard” to petition lawmakers to help end genocide Saturday.
The “One Million Bones” project, led by artist Naomi Natale and the group the Art of Revolution, covered the mall with over one million fake bones to raise awareness for their cause.
The project will remain installed until Monday, June 10, serving as the centerpiece for a weekend-long event that includes educational workshops and speeches by activists and politicians like former congressman Tom Perriello.
