University Police officers arrested a student Wednesday in Francis Scott Key Hall for possession of marijuana buds with intent to sell.
Officers received an anonymous tip of “heavy marijuana smoke” in the hallway and called in house staff to perform a search, UPD Chief Kevin Hay said. The student who possessed the marijuana was visiting the building. House staff found additional marijuana in his room at the Dakota.
Staff also confiscated a small amount of “suspected” psilocybin mushrooms, colloquially called shrooms.
UPD turned over the five ounces of “processed buds” to the Metropolitan Police Department, along with cash.
