
The Hatchet is a finalist in 10 categories for the regional Mark of Excellence awards, including best website and best all-around non-daily student newspaper, the Society of Professional Journalists announced Wednesday.
The group will reveal placement for the coveted collegiate journalism honors in late April. Region 2 includes the District, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland and North Carolina. First place winners will advance to a national contest.
