Nordstorm Rack, which offers designer apparel at discounted prices, will open just off campus on April 18.
The outlet will replace the former Borders book and music store that closed last year at 1800 L St., The Washington Post reported Friday. Nordstrom Rack leased the 35,000-square-foot space in November and began construction a few weeks ago.
Originally a shoe retailer, Nordstrom also sells clothing, accessories and jewelry. The company plans to add another new store in Columbia Crossing in May.
The store near campus will become the 10th Nordstrom Rack in the D.C. area.
