Dozens participated in a candlelight vigil Friday in front of the White House to pay condolences to the victims of an elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn. earlier in the day.
The gunman, believed to be about 20 years old, killed 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School, according to media reports. Twenty were children ranging from 5 to 10 years old and five others were adults. He also killed himself.
