French bakery to open on campus Monday

A well-known French bakery is set for a Monday grand opening at its new location in the shops at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue.

PAUL bakery, located across from Founding Farmers on 20th Street, will open at 7 a.m. and will give a free tartelette citrouille – pumpkin tart – to the first 2,000 customers at the new location.

While there were some challenges to getting GWorld set up at the bakery, PAUL will be able to accept the card at its grand opening, said publicist Lisa Amore.

PAUL originated in Lille, France in 1889 and now has about 500 stores in more than 25 countries. This new bakery is the fourth location in D.C.
